Team (athletes list) is determined by entering the names of the athletes in the registration form, on the page "Teams" > "Participants" entry. Any change to the athletes list (e.g.: replacement / addiction of new athletes and / or data requested and not previously entered) can always be carried out after the registration procedure sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or, alternatively, at check-in in Bibione. The addiction of a new athlete (who has not already played matches in the same game category) can also be foreseen during the tournament, before the start of the matches that will determine the prize money, with a formal request to the Director of the tournament which, once verified the regularity, will proceed with the updating of the team's athletes list. In this case, the addiction may concern an athlete for the game categories 2x2 M/F/MT and two athletes for the 3x3 M/F and the 4x4 Mixed, however without exceeding the number of reserves allowed for the category, as no substitutions will be allowed.
Attention: if there will be no conformity between the "athletes list" and the players on the court, the team will be immediately expelled by the tournament (no repechages will be foreseen in this case), without any prize money and without the right to receive any refund.
The 2x2 M/F matches will take place on Friday and Saturday. On Friday there will be the qualifications following the double elimination format between 32 teams, with no limit on the number of teams registered and with the assignment of the seeded teams based on the registration date. After the first defeat the team will pass to the losing part of the draw; after two defeats the team is scratched. The first ranked teams of each draws, with any potential repechage, enter the Saturday’s final double elimination draw which assigns the seeds based on the position acquired on Friday. The matches will be played as a single set to 21 points, with a maximum of 23 points; the final matches (1st -2nd and 3rd -4th places) will be played using the two out of three formats, set to 21 points, with a maximum of 23 points and any third set will be played to 15 points with a difference of two points and no point limit.
The 2x2 Mixed matches are played only on Sunday with a qualifying round (up to four draws with 32 teams) following the double elimination format: after the first defeat the team will pass to the losing part of the draw, after two defeats the team is scratched. The best eight teams from the qualifying round enter the finals; the final rounds are played with knockout matches up to the final match.
